Long Island Custom Printing (“LICP,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) produces every order to your specifications. Because each order is custom-printed, returns and refunds are limited to the situations described below. This Refund Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service.
1. Custom orders are non-refundable once production begins
Custom print orders are produced specifically for you and have no resale value. Once an order has been submitted to production, it cannot be refunded or cancelled, except as provided below for manufacturer defects. This is industry-standard for custom print manufacturing.
2. Reprint guarantee for manufacturer defects
If your delivered order contains a manufacturer defect, we will reprint the affected quantity at no charge or, at your option, issue a full refund of the affected line items to your original payment method.
2.1 Qualifying defects
- Smudged, streaked, or misregistered ink.
- Wrong color outside the industry-standard tolerance for the selected stock and process.
- Wrong size or wrong product shipped (does not match your order specification).
- Missing pages or short shipment of more than 2% of the ordered quantity.
- Material defect (peeling lamination, torn stock, severe finishing issue).
2.2 Not considered defects
- Minor color variation between batches or between your monitor and the printed piece.
- Slight trim variation up to 1/16 inch.
- Slight fold variation up to 1/32 inch.
- Color shift on uncoated stock, which absorbs ink differently than coated stock by nature.
- Up to 2% shortage on flat orders, which is standard makeready waste.
3. File quality issues
You are responsible for the quality, content, and print-readiness of the artwork you upload. Issues caused by your file, including but not limited to low resolution, incorrect bleed, missing fonts, wrong color mode (RGB versus CMYK), spelling and grammar errors, misplaced cut lines, or content that runs off the trim, are not eligible for reprint or refund.
If you would like our team to review and prepare your file before production, add the $97 File Setup service at checkout. Orders that include the File Setup service are eligible for reprint if a file-related defect that should have been caught during file prep makes it through to the printed product.
4. Delivery Date Guarantee refund
If you purchased the $29.95 Delivery Date Guarantee at checkout and your shipment does not depart our fulfillment facility by the guaranteed date, we will refund the $29.95 Guarantee fee. The order itself is not refundable under this Guarantee.
The Guarantee covers our production timeline only. It does not cover carrier transit delays after pickup, weather events, customs holds, address errors, or delivery exceptions outside our control.
5. Cancellation window
You may cancel an order for a full refund only before the order has been submitted to production. Most orders are submitted to production within approximately 2 hours of placement. After an order has been submitted to production, it cannot be cancelled.

6. How to request a reprint or refund
- Email {{contact_email}} or call {{contact_phone}} within 14 days of delivery.
- Include your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photographs that show the defect (front, back, and a close-up).
- Retain the affected product until we confirm whether we need it returned. In most cases we do not require physical return of defective product.
- We will respond within 2 business days with a decision or a request for additional information.
7. Refund processing timeline
Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days from the date of approval. Depending on your bank or card issuer, the funds may take an additional 3 to 10 business days to appear on your statement.
8. Chargebacks
Please contact us first before filing a chargeback with your card issuer. We are committed to resolving legitimate issues quickly. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us delays resolution for everyone and may result in your account being placed on hold pending review.
